Nintendo 3DS that will be released
According to Tech Watch Nintendo have announced the launch of up to 13 games that will be available for the Nintendo 3DS that will be released on March the 25th. In June 2010, Nintendo gave an announcement of a variety of games that will be available for the 3DS from different companies, including Cubic Ninja, Etrian Odyssey, and Resident Evil: Revelations.
But it is only now that we are finally hearing any word of a list of games ready for the day of the Nintendo 3DS release.
The full list of 13 games are as follows: Pilotwings resort, Nintendogs, Super Street Fighter IV, The Sims 3, PES 2011, Lego Star Wars III: The Cone Wars, Ridge Racer, Super Monkey Ball, Samurai Warriors: Chronicles, Asphalt, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon, Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell, and Rayman.
However, even with all these games available, the 3DS is going to face some serious competition in the hand held market.
Smart phone gaming is climbing up the gaming ladder with popular, downloadable, cheap games such as Angry Birds for mobile phones.
On top of that, Sony are releasing their PSP Phone in a week, and the PSP2 NGP is approaching as well, with an impressive games library.
Nintendo bosses are hoping that the ability to play 3D games without the need for glasses will revive the company’s fortunes in the multi-billion pound industry. Last month it was announced that profits had dropped by 74 per cent, due to a fall in the sales of the DS and Wii.
